Harvest Home, the small farmer's market on Brooklyn Avenue at the edge of Brower Park is closing down for the winter. In a brief interview with Long Island farmer Beagan Gooth, we found out that he was mostly pleased with the way the summer went. He said that except at the end when the weather got cold, more and more people came each Thursday and the weekly recipes were popular and led to more sales for him. He admitted the locale was a bit out of the way, but he said he got a lot of people from the senior center on the other side of Brower Park and lots of parents with children headed to the Brooklyn Children's Museum. He wished there could have been more signs around the neighborhood to direct people to the site. Beagan will be busy over the winter planting in greenhouses and preparing for next year. He will be back with Harvest Home in June 2019 planning for the best summer ever. Good luck Beagan, and see you then.
